Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in premium water storage solutions. With a reputation for producing high-quality products and maintaining a supportive team environment, they are looking to welcome a motivated Metal Fabricator to their growing production team.
About the Role
This hands-on manufacturing role involves assembling and fabricating components for water tanks, including fitting lids and carrying out general sheet metal fabrication tasks. Working as part of an experienced production team, you will receive on-the-job training and develop practical manufacturing skills in a stable, long-term position.
This role is well suited to applicants looking to begin a career in manufacturing or those wanting to build on existing hands-on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Fit lids and components to manufactured water tanks
- Perform general sheet metal fabrication and assembly tasks
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Read and interpret measurements to ensure quality standards are met
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of metal products
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Work collaboratively to meet daily production targets
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the day
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality
- Previous manufacturing or fabrication experience (desirable)
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
- White Card (desirable)
- Current driver's licence (desirable)
- Permanent full-time employment
- Competitive hourly rate of $30–$35 per hour
- Monday to Friday roster (7:00am–4:00pm)
- Overtime opportunities available
- Full on-the-job training provided
