About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant - Senior Advisor to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. Reporting to the Associate/Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive accounting and advisory services to our valued clients. Your responsibilities will include all functions of accounts preparation, ensuring accuracy of client business financial reporting, management reporting, and compliance. Strong knowledge of accounting and tax principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality client service are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all functions of accounts preparation, including preparing annual financials and income tax returns.
  • Collaborate with bookkeeping functions (in-house and external) to ensure accuracy of client business financial reporting and integrate these systems with other business systems for compliance and management reporting needs.
  • Work with management reporting frameworks, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly analysis and reconciliation of financial activity, in addition to annual compliance reporting.
  • Manage client workflow to meet target expectations and schedule future service requirements, considering the contributions of the entire team.
  • Deliver high-quality client services while observing constraints, efficiency, and fee targets.
  • Interact with clients both in our office and at their premises as required.
  • Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality when handling client information.
  • Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Adhere to compliance standards and workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Manager.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • Tax or BAS Agent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accountant role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles, particularly in small business entities.
  • Proficiency in PC-based applications, including Microsoft Office suite and computerized accounting software.
  • Knowledge and experience in agricultural/regional-based business, preferably in the finance area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze financial documents.
  • Team player with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
